- Ms. Nina Krey received her bachelor’s degree in Marketing and her MBA from the University of Louisiana at Monroe. Her previous work experiences include working as a project manager for the Messe Berlin GmbH in her hometown Berlin, Germany. As a project manager, Nina was in charge of organizing and coordinating the conference accompanying a major trade show in Berlin.
While completing her doctorate degree, Nina worked for the Academy of Marketing Science (AMS) by assisting in organizing and administering the AMS Annual Conference and the AMS World Marketing Congress. Furthermore, she was a member of the Graduate Policies and Assessment Committee (GPAC) of the College of Business and is currently a member of the University Honor Council. From 2013 – 2014, Nina served as Vice President of the Doctor of Business Administration Association for doctoral students in the College of Business.
Her research interests include sensory marketing, cross-cultural and international marketing, as well as emotions with a focus on negative self-conscious emotions within consumers. Her articles have been published in the Journal of Business & Entrepreneurship, the International Journal of Business, Marketing and Decision Science, and the International Journal of Education Research. In addition, her work has been presented at various conferences, including the American Marketing Association (AMA) Winter Marketing Educators Conference, AMS Annual Conference, AMS World Marketing Congress, Society for Marketing Advances (SMA), Association for Small Business and Entrepreneurship (ASBE) Annual Conference, Academy of Wine Business Research Conference, Global Interdisciplinary Conference, and International Academy of Business and Public Administrative Disciplines (IABPAD). Her paper “Integration in Start-Ups: Realizing and Understanding Differences” won the Best Student Paper Award at the 38th Annual Conference of ASBE in 2013.
