Programs of Study
The Managment Curricula is designed for those students who are seeking administrative careers with business or srvice organizations. The Department of Managemet aind Information Systems offers two majors directed at different interests in the management area. The two majors in Management include Business Management and Entrepreneurship, and Human Resources Management. The Business Management and Entrepreneurship major is designed for the student who desires training in general business management. Managers have the authority and responsibility to run organizations. The tasks of a manager include planning, organizing, staffing, directing, motivating, and controlling. Students electing this major often seek management trainee positions with established large and small companies, public bodies, or may start their own business. Many graduates start out in supervisory positions and move up through the executive ranks. Others may use the general foundation provided by this degree to pursue advanced degrees in business, law, or other fields. The business management major concentrates on management courses such as small business and entrepreneurship, new venture, personnel, and industrial management.

Human Resources Curriculum
The Human Resource Management major is designed for those students who are interested in personnel management and industrial relations. Human resource and industrial relations managers plan and carry out policies relating to all phases of employment functions of a company. These functions would include recruiting, hiring and training employees, developing wage and salary scales, administering benefit programs complying with government labor regulations and other responsibilities that affect employees. Job opportunities for human resource specialists exist throughout the country and this employment field is expected to grow steadily. Specific courses are required in personnel law, personnel management, compensation systems, and personnel and industrial relations.
