Students pursuing an undergraduate major in a college other than Business may earn a minor in one of the following fields:
Accounting: (18 hours)
Accounting 201, 202, 303; and 9 hours of 300- or 400-level Accounting courses to complete the 18 hours.
Business Administration: (21 hours)
Accounting 201, 202; Computer Information Systems 310; Economics 202; Finance 318; Management 310; and Marketing 300.
Computer Information Systems: (18 hours)
CIS 310, 315; and 12 hours of 300- or 400-level CIS courses to complete the 18 hours. (Students pursuing this minor must have credit for CIS 110 or the equivalent prior to registering for CIS 310).
Economics: (18 hours)
Economics 201, 202, 312; and 9 hours of 300- or 400-level Economics courses to complete the 18 hours.
Entrepreneurship: (18 hours)
Accounting 201; Business Law 255; Management 305, Management 340 or Entrepreneurship 460, Management 400; and Marketing 300. (Brochure for the Entrepreneurship minor.)
Finance: (21 hours)
Economics 202; Accounting 201, 202; Finance 318; and 9 hours of 300- or 400-level Finance courses to complete the 21 hours.
Management: (18 hours)
Management 310; and 15 hours of 300- or 400-level Management courses to complete the 18 hours.
Marketing: (18 hours)
Marketing 300; and 15 hours of 300- or 400-level Marketing courses to complete the 18 hours.
A student must earn a grade of C or better in each course applied toward meeting the requirements of a minor. This requirement is applicable to new undergraduates students (freshmen or transfers) whose initial enrollment is Fall 2003 or quarters thereafter. In addition, at least 50% of the courses applied toward the minor must be taken at Louisiana Tech.
