Recommended order of Courses.
BUSINESS ECONOMICS

Sophomore Year

  • ECON 201: Economic Principles and Problems (Macroeconomics). Offered every quarter.
  • ECON 202: Economic Principles and Problems (Microeconomics). Offered every quarter.

Junior Year

  • ECON 312: Monetary Economics. Prerequisite is ECON 201 & 202. A student should not enroll in this course until the fall quarter of the junior year. This course offered every quarter.
  • ECON 408: Intermediate Economic Theory. Prerequisite is ECON 202. This course is offered in the winter quarter.

Senior Year

  • ACCT or FINC Elective
  • ECON Electives (nine hours)
  • ECON 437: Aggregate Economic Analysis. Prerequisite is ECON 312. This course is offered in the winter quarter. Ideally, a student should take this course in the winter quarter after completing all required Economics courses in this curriculum. However, students are encouraged to enroll in Economics courses whenever they are offered, if the prerequisites have been met.

Electives

  • ECON 401: Internship in Economics. Students are encouraged to pursue relevant work experience through enrollment in an internship course. Internship courses may be used for a Business Elective.
  • ECON 344: International Economics. Prerequisite is ECON 201. This course is offered in the spring quarter.
  • ECON 406: Comparative Economic Systems. This course is offered in the fall quarter.
  • ECON 409: Managerial Economic Analysis. This course is offered in the fall quarter.
  • ECON 418: Labor Economics. Prerequisite is ECON 202. This course is offered in the spring quarter.
