Center for Executive and Professional Development
  • Greetings from the Director

Dr. Sean Dwyer"Welcome to the site of the Center for Executive and Professional Development.  As the founding director, I am excited to be part of this new College of Business center here at Louisiana Tech University.

Our mission is to facilitate the continuing professional development of business professionals in our region by delivering courses and seminars that will advance their careers and enhance the performance of their employers.  Our goal is to be the leading provider of non-degree professional and executive training in Northern Louisiana and beyond.

Our center is housed in the College of Business building and we expect that the early educational programs we deliver will be completed there.  As we grow we intend to expand our offerings to our Louisiana Tech Shreveport Center campus as well as to the Monroe area.  We also expect to deliver educational seminars off-site at Northern Louisiana business locations.  Thus we plan to offer both public, open-enrollment educational programs to individual professionals as well as private, organization-sponsored courses and seminars.

With that, I am pleased to announce a formal partnership with the Dale Carnegie Training organization.  We in the Center and the College of Business are very pleased and excited to work with such a prestigious, well-known, and well-respected organization that is considered to be among an elite few in management and leadership training firms.  We will be working closely in the months ahead to sponsor and host Dale Carnegie Training programs in our very own building as well as in off-site locations in Shreveport and Monroe.  We are excited about this alliance and the positive impact it will have on the business professionals in our region as well as to our college and university.  Please look for more announcements about CEPD-Dale Carnegie Training offerings in early summer."
