Population Reporting:
The Graduate and Research Department has provided economic development assistance to area planners for the past twenty-four years. The Division was the nation's first designated "Census Summary Tape Processing Center", it has been Louisiana's only Federal-State Cooperative Population Estimates agency, and it has been one of the area's most active analysts and disseminators of Bureau of Economic Analysis data. It also has played a prominent role in attracting several industries to Louisiana.
The Division has worked closely with such agencies as Research for the Greater Bossier Economic Development Foundation, Northwest Louisiana Development Center, Coordinating and Development Corporation, Northwest Louisiana Tourism/Retirement Commission, and Ruston/Lincoln Parish Chamber of Commerce on such areas as tourism and retirement and rural development among others. - :: Head of Graduate and Research Department
