Basic Requirements for Admissions Representative

• Be able to work between the hours of 11:00 A.M. to 2:00 P.M. or 2:00 P.M. to 5:00 P.M.
• The Admissions Representative is responsible for processing inpatient admission face sheets, inpatient referral forms and appropriate consent forms signed upon admission. The admissions Representative also screens and routes telephone calls, takes telephone messages, as required, and functions as an information resource to staff, patients, families and outside agencies. This position does now provide direct patient care. The admissions department is the brain center of the Marketing Department and daily market strategies are created from information coming in hour to hour from doctor's offices, nursing homes, hospitals and other sources. Interns will report directly to the Director of Marketing Operations and get a good dose of marketing to doctors. They will be exposed to the HEALTHSOUTH family of hospitals and there is a excellent referral system in place for HealthSouth facilities all over the country.
• The job is a non-paid position but we can promise detailed , inside exposure the running of a hospital.
