Intern Position for Cedar Creek School

The Intern position for Cedar Creek School will focus on an overall Campus Assessment. This will include repurposing of PCs throughout Cedar Creek campus, Maintenance of Mobile Lab units, and updating Inventory.

If a Microsoft Active Directory is implemented during the period of the intern's assignment, this will likely both consume time as well as contribute to the applicant's resources available.

Sub-Project: Mobile Lab

  • Converting mobile lab into assigned presentation units
  • Assessment of individual laptop units, including hardware and software components
  • Updating OS, Office Suite, and antivirus to latest patches
  • Upgrading hardware as necessary (mostly augmenting memory)

Sub-Project: Assessment

  • Assessment of various PC units, determining if usable as primary (teacher), secondary (student), or if unusable.
  • If unusable, salvaging usable parts.

Sub-Project: Updating Inventory

  • Updating, catalog of PCs on campus, recording hardware, software, and IP addresses for inventory/planning purposes. This can be accomplished by various methods, using various tools, including manual inventory methods.
