Internships Available to Business Students

United Way of Northeast Louisiana is looking for a business student who is interested in an internship that will sharpen business and marketing skills. United Way is a non-profit agency with the purpose of Helping People and Improving Community . There is no other organization that touches the lives of so many people with so many different needs. At United Way , in addition to funding the important programs of our Partner Agencies, we look at the whole community and focus on tackling the toughest issues that we face by looking at the underlying causes and bringing the people and resources together that get results that matter.

A student intern will gain experience in the following areas:

• Assisting in the revision of marketing materials and strategies to Lincoln Parish businesses
• Making contacts within local businesses to set up campaigns within participating businesses.
• Participating in the planning and the coordinating of United Way events within Lincoln Parish.
• Learning the programs of partner agencies and effectively communicating those programs with parish residents and business leaders.

• Moderate computer skills
• Communication skills
• Desire to learn
